John P. Tomashek, M.D.

Biography:

Dr. Tomashek received his M.D. from the University of Wisconsin. He completed his internship in general surgery at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago. His Diagnostic Radiology residency was at the Methodist Hospital of Indiana in Indianapolis, where he served as Chief Resident for two years. He received the Ball State University School of Radiologic Technology Outstanding Teaching Award during his second year of training, an award traditionally given to staff radiologists. He completed his fellowship training in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Methodist Hospital. He earned the Best Poster presentation at the 2001 Indiana University Radiology Residency Research Conference and runner-up award for his research presented in the 2002 Society of Interventional Radiology Fellows Program. Dr. Tomashek joined WRS in 2002. He practices general diagnostic and interventional radiology, with special interest in diagnosing and treating venous disorders.
